Project involved adding granular activated carbon (GAC) pressure vessels inside of an existing 1.5 mgd drinking water treatment facility, with a section of the existing below-grade clearwell sectioned off to create an intermediate storage tank, filtered water from the existing treatment process discharging into the intermediate storage tank where one of two submersible pumps will pump through the GAC vessels, bypass piping from the intermediate storage tank to the clearwell, and other work indicated in the contract documents.
